Jewels and Ethics: when the sustainability is a success

Jewels and Ethics:Bulgari case

An increasing number of companies all over the world pays attention to the sustainability and the ethics in many market sectors, included the jewelry. Now the products quality is correlated to others important factors, such as the environment, the energy saving, the traceability and the sustainability of the entire supply chain.

The latest case history is Bulgari. Bulgari inaugurated on March its new jewelry manufacturing facility in Valenza Po, Italy. The 14,000-square-meter site spans two buildings, the Cascina dell’Orefice and the Glass House, both built using innovative technologies and materials with low environmental impact. The project aims to earn certification to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), one of the most popular green building certification programs used worldwide.
